Nancy E.
(Hendricks) Guinivan
October 18, 1938 – December 11, 2023
DANVERS – Nancy E. (Hendricks) Guinivan died of Acute Myeloid Leukemia on Monday, December 11th, 2023, a rare blood cancer that followed more than 25 years of Polycythemia Vera. She was the proud daughter of the late John and Marguerite Hendricks, the beloved wife of Paul Guinivan, Jr. the loving mother of Mark Guinivan and his wife, Kerrie of Beverly and Beth Guinivan of Englewood, Florida. Nancy was the adoring grandmother of Molly and Katie Guinivan who she cherished beyond measure.
Most of Nancy's life was spent in Beverly with the last several in Danvers. She graduated from Beverly High School in 1956, and Salem State College in 1960, followed by two Master's Degrees in 1979 and 1989 respectively. She taught at the Edward's Elementary School as the Reading Specialist for most of her career. Nancy loved teaching reading and Children's Literature to her students over the years. She always thought of her granddaughters as her last two students with whom she could share her knowledge and love of reading and writing. They also created wonderful memories of baking and sewing.
Nancy loved creating a lovely home and making quilts for family, friends, and Project Linus. She also enjoyed golf and travel with many memorable winter vacations in Florida and Scottsdale, Arizona. Until her illness, she was a daily communicant of St. Richard Parish in Danvers.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Adelaide Blouin, Paul, and John Hendricks, as well as her nephew, Joseph Hendricks. Survivors include Sandra Guinivan, Ann Dion, and many nieces and nephews both local and out of state.
Nancy will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass which will be held at St. Richard Parish, 90 Forest St, Danvers on Friday, December 15th, 2023 at 10 A.M. Assisting the family with the arrangements is O'Donnell – Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS Expression of sympathy may be made in Nancy's memory to the Beverly Children's Learning Center, 550 Cabot St, Beverly, MA 01915.
