Obituary

KINGSTON – Nicholas Christoper Michaud, 46, of Kingston, NH, formerly of Salem, beloved fiancé of Ana Ortiz, passed suddenly on February 9, 2025. Loving son of Paul Michaud, Sr. and Lorraine "Cookie" (Garro) Boucher, Nick was born in Beverly. He was raised and educated in Salem, graduating from Salem High School in 1996. After graduation Nick attended North Shore Community College, majoring in business management.

Professionally, Nick began working with Cambece Law Firm in Peabody and then with Pan Am Rails. Most recently he was with Winn Waste Innovations, where his hard work and dedication paid off with his recent promotion to Manager of Rail Fleet & Logistics. His kindness and carefree nature left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside him. He approached life with enthusiasm, and his infectious positivity inspired many.

Nick's love for the outdoors was evident in every aspect of his life. He thrived on biking rail trails, hiking in the serene landscapes of New Hampshire, and spending cherished moments at his family's lake house in Alton, where laughter resonated through the trees and memories were made. He often found joy on the Ossipee River, where he created lasting memories with his father. His passion for boating and working out exemplified his active spirit and love for nature.

Nick was a loving fiancé, son, brother, uncle, and friend, whose warm heart and radiant smile could brighten the darkest of days.

In addition to his Fiancée, Ana Ortiz and her children, Christina, LJ, and Abby and her grandchild Valentina, Nick is survived by his parents, Paul Michaud Sr. of Effingham, NH, Lorraine "Cookie" (Garro) and Dean Boucher of Peabody, his brother, Paul Michaud, Jr. and his companion Becky LaPierre of Seabrook, NH, his sisters, Amanda Santos of Reading, MA and Leah O'Hara of Wakefield, MA, his sister in law, Amy Michaud, his niece and nephews, Chelsi Talas, PJ Michaud, Jonathan Santos, Lucas Santos, and Bodie O'Hara, his great nieces and nephew, Leo Michaud, Stevi Rose Talas, and Andi Mae Talas, and numerous close friends and acquaintances.
