PEABODY- Mr. Nicolas Santana 73 of Peabody, beloved husband of Idalia (Peralta) Santana died, Tuesday morning July 22nd, 2014 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by his family. Born in The Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Jose and Maria (Magdalena) Almonte Santana. He was raised and educated in the Dominican Republic. He immigrated to the United States making his home in Salem at a young age.
Mr. Santana had been employed in the leather industry as a tanner for many years. More recently he had been employed as a custodian at Marblehead High School until the time of his retirement. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Nicolas had a deep passion for baseball. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his loving wife, Nicolas is survived by his daughter Maria Santana Caron and her husband Michael of Lynn, his son Jose Ambrosio Santana and his wife Nancy of Salem, his seven grandchildren, Olivia, Kalynda, Isabella, Rudy, Sarah, Zonia and Jose, his great grandchild, Laila, his step son Manuel and his step grandson Ellison and many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and extended family.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in The O'Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (At Salem Common) Salem Friday, July 25th from 7 to 9 P.M.
