IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Norma (Plasencia)
Ettore
August 20, 1945 – April 25, 2025
WINCHESTER – Mrs. Norma (Plasencia) Ettore, 79 of Winchester, loving wife of Richard Arnold, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25th at Mary Immaculate Health and Care Services in Lawrence.
Born in Maracay, Venezuela, Norma was the daughter of the late Margot Plasencia. She was raised and educated in Venezuela where she started a family, then relocated to Tuscany, Italy where she continued to raise her family, making Italy her home for the next 16 years. After some changes and relocation back to Venezuela, it was the courageous move of her adult son to the United States that encouraged her entire family to immigrate to the United States.
Despite speaking very little English at first, Norma took on all challenges with a brave and positive outlook. She never considered herself a victim of any of her life challenges, persevering and inspiring everyone around her. Devoted to her family, Norma loved spending time with her children, tending to her grandchildren, and watching them grow. She was an amazing cook, nourishing her family with signature and cherished dishes. Norma was determined, never afraid to accept changes, always learning to be better informed, and was a fiercely loyal advocate not for only herself, but her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her husband Richard Arnold of Winchester, Norma is survived by her children; Horatio Ettore and his wife, Maria of Londonderry, NH, Adriana Ettore and her husband, David Gonzalez of Andover, Vittorio Ettore and his wife, Jill Chiara of Winchester, and Samanta Ettore and her husband Paul Barrow of Andover; her beloved grandchildren; Kassandra Ettore, Sebastian Ettore, Amos Ettore, Andrea Davidson, Luca Ettore, Gabriella Ettore, Kyle Turner, and Naomi Turner, and her several great-grandchildren including, one on the way. Norma was the sister of Nora, Mercedes, and Belen Plasencia.
