IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pamela Jean
(Walch) Constantine
July 5, 1955 – August 27, 2025
BEVERLY - Pamela Jean Walch Constantine passed away on August 27, 2025, at the age of seventy, with her loving family by her side. Pam shared 41 years of marriage with her husband and best friend, David Constantine. She had an irrepressible spirit, a delightful and witty sense of humor and a heart of gold. Pam's commitment to the greater community was limitless; her care and compassion for others and her tireless can-do attitude defined each moment of her life.
Pam was born on July 5, 1955, in Manchester, CT, to Allan Prescott and June Cunningham Walch. Along with her parents and brothers, Barry and Bryan, Pam enjoyed many summers at the Walch family cottage on Bickford Pond in Kezar Falls, Maine. She was a top student at Manchester High School, and she graduated from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine with a Phi Beta Kappa and Bachelor of Arts in French. After attending the Denver Publishing Institute in Colorado, Pam moved to the greater Boston area where she began her career as the Director of Marketing at the Lexington Books Division of D.C. Heath. In 1999, she began her 20+ year career as a Program Director at the Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund in Salem.
Pam and Dave met as students in the MBA program at the Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. After marrying in July of 1984, Pam and Dave moved to Beverly, Massachusetts. Pam was a dedicated and loving mother to Kara, Peter, and Adam. The Constantine family enjoyed sailing in Salem Sound, spending time with cousins and friends at Bickford Pond, and sharing ski trips.
As a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Beverly, Pam was Church Moderator for many years, participated in numerous mission trips, served free community lunches each month, chaired the Church's annual Holiday Fair and made other contributions too numerous to list. For twenty years, she served as the President and as a member of the Board of Directors of Harborlight Nursery School. Pam enthusiastically embraced the mission of Harborlight Homes, where, as a member of its Board of Directors and Executive Committee, she supported efforts to establish affordable housing on Boston's North Shore. This past June, Bates College selected Pam as a "Bates Best" award recipient for serving her community "with ardor and devotion." Simply stated, Pam lived her life giving freely and thoughtfully to all she undertook for the betterment of many.
Pam is survived by her husband, David Constantine. She leaves her daughter Kara of Falmouth, ME, son Peter and his wife, Kali, of Amesbury, MA, and son Adam and his wife, Elle, of Beverly, MA. She is also survived by her brothers and their wives, Barry and Rhonda Walch of Canton, NY, and Bryan and Terry Walch of Suffield, CT, as well as by much-loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends and relatives.
