SALEM –
Mrs. Patricia (Veno) Lemire 89, of Salem, beloved wife of 65 years to the late Donald Raymond Lemire, died July 30
th
, 2021 at Salem Hospital.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Curtin) Veno. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of the former Ste. Chretienne School and Girls High School.
Mrs. Lemire had been employed with the New England Tel & Tel Company as a Switchboard Operator. She also had been employed in the same capacity, as well as working in the office and service desk with the former Almy's Department Store in Salem. She matriculated to work for the City of Salem School Department and had been employed at the Peabody-Essex Museum, as a switchboard operator and receptionist until the time of her retirement. She was well respected for her attention to detail and dedication to each and every team she worked with.
A life long resident of the City of Salem, Pat truly enjoyed spending her time at the beach, especially at her beloved Collins Cove. She was a founding member of the "Beach Bums of Collins Cove", an ever-growing group of fun-loving beach goers. Pat had an outgoing personality and endeared herself to many. She had many life long friends and still lunched with her Tel & Tel friends monthly, which was an over 50-year tradition. Along with her husband, Pat spent every Wednesday at Winter Island in Salem, with a special group of friends. Above all else, Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was dedicated to her family. She will be deeply missed.
Patricia is survived by her children, James F. Lemire and his wife, Juanita of Lebanon, N.H., Linda Symington and her husband, Ralph of Groveland, MA, Margaret Lemire of Salem and John J. Lemire of Salem, her grandchildren, Jay Lemire of NY, NY, Angela Poland and husband, Brian of Cornish, N.H. and Renee Picca and Brooks Sena of Plainfield, N.H., her great grandchildren, Harper and Devin and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals - Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem, Wednesday, August 4th at 12:30 P.M.
