SWAMPSCOTT - Patricia A. (Ring) Watson, 81, loving wife of the late Robert Watson, passed away on June 12, 2026 in Peabody with her three girls at her side. Pat was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Ottani) Ring. She was predeceased by her brother Richard.

Pat was born and raised in Lynn and graduated with honors from St. Mary’s High School. She was married for nearly 25 years to her high school sweetheart and neighbor, Robert Watson. When Bob passed away, way too soon, in 1987, Mom became an even more determined and dedicated mother and grandmother. Bob and Pat raised three daughters- Elizabeth D. Watson, Christine M. Lander (husband James) and Laura J. Durant (husband Scott). The Watson women shared every joy and challenge together.

Pat began a banking career at Lynn Institution for Savings working mothers’ hours when “her girls” could be home alone after school. She retired from the Trust Department after 35 years with the bank. In the community, Pat served on the board of the Lynn Home for Women and was often seen at fundraisers in Lynn. Pat was a dedicated wife, mother, and daughter who never missed the opportunity to celebrate, support, embrace and comfort her children, grandchildren and later great grandchildren. She proudly held the title of “Matriarch” of her family and loved being the eldest of 14 grandchildren.

Pat survived cancer twice. She survived to support and love her “pride and joy”: her grandchildren. Brian C. Hinds (wife Leah), Kara E. Firestone (husband Drew) and Zachary J. Lander got all the best Nannie had to give. She enjoyed holidays and traditions and finding each and every one of us THE perfect gift or Christmas pajamas. Her great grandchildren- Marleigh, Jackson, Amelia and Melodie- brought new hope and light to her. Their laughter was the best medicine. She enjoyed endless rides by the ocean, fine dining and red wine. But her gift was gifting. She gifted us time, money, presents and endless patience and support for which we are forever grateful.

Thank you to the Jeffrey and Susan Brudnick Center for Living and Care Dimensions for the loving care and kindness you gave to our family.
