TOPSFIELD – Mr. Patrick C. Countryman, 58, of Topsfield and the loving husband of Cindy (Brown) Griffin, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Patrick was the son of the late Millard and Mary Jane Countryman. He lived in both Florida and Michigan, until relocating to Florida, where he started his professional career.
Patrick started his professional career working as a Paramedic for a hospital in Florida where he was intrigued by a flyer posting about tissue donation services. Thus sparked a lengthy professional career in the organ and tissue donation services for many years, starting in Florida until his relocation to Massachusetts to work with New England Donor Services for the last 10+ years as the Director of Tissue Recovery.
Patrick loved his job, the people he worked with and the good his professional career provided to helping and healing lives. Growing up in Michigan, he had a deep love for the University of Michigan and proudly supported their football team, recently attending a game in the Big House (Go Blue!). He loved all sports, especially soccer and held season tickets with his wife to the New England Revolution Team. He loved golfing, pinball, grilling and smoking all meats, and above all else, he loved his family and being a papa to his beloved grandchildren. Patrick will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his beloved wife, Cindy of Topsfield, Patrick is survived by stepchildren, Cailin Horne and her husband, Colten and their children, Henry and Harper all of Orlando, FL, Brienna “Breezy” Hoffman and her husband, Jared and their children, Jayden and Madison all of Boynton Beach, FL and Olivia Griffin of Port Orange, FL; his siblings, Mack “Tinker” Lester, Diane Lester, Lonnie Lester, Jackie Lester and Randy Lester and many nieces and nephews.
