SALEM – Mr. Paul David Boyd, 64 of Salem, beloved husband of Theresa (Urbanowicz) Boyd, passed away on Thursday, March 20th, 2025 at Salem Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Danvers, he was the son of the late Philip and Betsy (Lovejoy) Boyd. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School.
Mr. Boyd began his career at Rogers Automotive Service in Peabody, where he dedicated over a decade to serving the community with unwavering commitment and professionalism. He then transitioned to become the manager of Adams Auto in Salem, a role he cherished until the time of his passing. His work ethic and leadership were admired by colleagues and patrons alike, marking him as a respected figure in the local business community.
Beyond his professional life, Paul was an active participant in community sports, proudly playing in men's league softball and pool. He found joy in these pursuits, often bringing people together and fostering friendships. An avid golfer, Paul spent countless afternoons on the course with his friends, sharing laughter and creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Paul's caring nature extended far beyond the realm of sports. He was deeply involved with the Boys and Girls Club of Salem, where he organized and participated in benefits to support local youth. His generous spirit and willingness to help others left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Paul is remembered as a deeply compassionate and giving person, always there with a helping hand and a kind word. As we bid farewell to Paul, we take solace in the countless memories we shared, the laughter we experienced, and the love that will continue to bind us together in his absence.
Surviving Paul, alongside his wife Theresa, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage, are his daughters, Brittany Boyd of Salem, Rachel Boyd and her fiancé Richard Parent-Boudreault of Danvers, his son, Paul Boyd Jr. of Salem, his grandchildren, Noah and Matthew, his sister, Margaret Keefe of NH, his brother Philip Boyd of ME and his adored pup, Bailey. Paul was predeceased by his daughter, Jennifer Boyd and his sister, Trisha Foss.
ARRANGMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service which will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM on Saturday, March 29th at 12 PM (Noon). Visiting hours prior to the service from 10 AM to 12 PM.
