Obituary

MIRROR LAKE, NH - Mr. Paul G. Mackie 77 of Mirror Lake, NH formerly of Danvers, beloved husband of Nancy (Labadie) Mackie, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, NH with his family by his side.

Born in Danvers he was the son of the late Arnold and Elinor (Walden) Mackie. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School. Paul continued his education earning a bachelor's degree in Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Paul began his professional career with Massachusetts Electric Company as an Engineer. He developed his skills and with a keen eye for detail eventually acquired the job of Field Supervisor where he remained for over 30 years.

A loving and devoted family man his; family was his passion. He was happiest when surrounded by them especially at his home on Lake Winnipesaukee where fun and games were always at hand. Boating, fishing, good food, great music, throw in a card game and there was fun for all. He loved the holidays, and his Christmas parties were epic. He went all out decorating, especially the tree, cooking and always a visit from Santa. An avid outdoorsman he loved to hunt, fish, and snowmobile with family and friends. Paul loved music and had a beautiful voice and was the youngest president of the New England Conservatory of Music an honor he was very proud of. He sang a Soprano solo of Ave Maria at Symphony Hall before giving it all up for baseball. Paul was charming, fun, and a generous volunteer for the German Shepherd Rescue of New England, he had a deep affection for dogs especially his own beloved shepherds. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and dear friend who will me deeply missed.

Surviving Paul in addition to his wife Nancy is his daughter, Christina Forestier and her husband Derek of Malden, his grandchildren, Samantha Forestier of Atlanta, GA, Olivia Forestier and Max Forestier both of Malden, his brother, Peter Mackie and his wife Mary of Lexington, his nieces and nephews, Robin Rowell and her husband Richard, Kenny Rollins and his wife Candi, Tim Rollins and his wife Cindy, Michelle Rhudick and her husband David, Jen Dabrieo and her husband Mike, Christopher Mackie and his wife Carrie, Liz Mackie and many grandnieces and grandnephews. He was also the brother of the late Gail Rollins and his stepmother, Florence Mackie.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service which will be held in the Maple Street Congregational Church, Maple St., Danvers, on Thursday, October 20th, 2022, at 12 noon. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Assisting the family with the arrangements is O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., DANVERS.
