IPSWICH - Paul A. Savage, 75, of Ipswich, passed away on March 16, 2026. He was the beloved husband to Carol and a devoted and loving father to Julie and Catharine.
Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Edmund and Eldora (Guay) Savage. He was a graduate of Boston College High School and Salem State University where he earned his B.A. and M.Ed.
Paul was a dedicated and passionate sales executive, enjoying a career that spanned over 50 years. He took great pride in his relationships with clients and colleagues, particularly in his role as mentor to countless young professionals. He received numerous awards and was widely regarded as a skillful negotiator. His “first career” was as a high school math teacher and football/track coach. He was respected and admired by all those who worked with him.
Paul was known for his generosity, integrity, and big laugh. Those around him appreciated his meticulous attention to detail and his grace. He enjoyed a good meal, hitting the dance floor, and playing golf, which he took up later in life with enthusiasm and a sense of humor. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his family, especially on the porch at the Cape. Endlessly curious, Paul approached life with humility, striving to improve himself every day. He worked hard and was a good man. Paul's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught, the love he shared, the care he provided, and the memories he created that will be cherished forever.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (nee St. Pierre), and their daughters, Julie (Wesley Landson) and Catharine (William Letz), his siblings: John (Patricia) Savage; Richard (Sue) Savage; Kathleen Savage; and Mary (George) Doonan; many nieces and nephews and their families, as well as many friends, who will miss his warmth. He is preceded in death by his sister Virginia (Edward) King.
