DANVERS- Mr. Paul Wentworth Swinnerton, 72, of Wenham, formerly of Danvers, beloved husband of Linda (Proud) Swinnerton, died Thursday September 22nd, 2016 at Lahey Medical Center Burlington, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Lynn he was the son of the late Raymond and Mildred (Gates) Swinnerton. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School. Following graduation, Paul entered the General Electric Apprentice Program, upon completion he embarked on a 37 year career with General Electric as a Planner in their Aircraft Division, where he was known for his dedication and hard work.

A longtime resident of the Town of Danvers, prior to moving to Wenham 6 years ago, Paul was a member of the Amity Mosaic Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Danvers. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be deeply missed.

In addition to his loving wife of over 50 years, Paul is survived by his daughters, Sue Ellen Donahoe and her husband Richard of Danvers, Melissa Garrett and Jamie Hibell of Saylorsburg, PA, his grandchildren, Isabel and Timothy Donahoe and Taylor and Ryan Garrett, his brother, John Swinerton of Rochester, MI, his sister, Ann Louise Richardson of Norwell, his sister-in-law, Carol Hayden and his brother-in-law, David Proud.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Rte 62) Danvers, Wednesday, September 28th at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. prior to the service. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Paul's memory to a charity of one's choice.
