SALEM - Mr. Paul J. Wentzell, 59 of Salem, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with his loving family by his side.

Born in Salem, Paul was the son of the late John and Virginia (Moynihan) Wentzell. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1983.

Paul was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for over 30 years, assigned to the Marblehead Post Office until his retirement in 2020, where he made many lasting friendships. Paul was a loyal lifelong Red Sox and Patriots fan and supported them through their many ups and downs. He loved to golf and played as often as he could with his friends Ralph, Charlie and Mike Meneades. He was also a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Veragua Council #76 of Salem for many years. Paul was a kind and generous person who loved his family and will be deeply missed.

Surviving Paul are his two brothers, David Wentzell and his wife, Gigi of Salem and Larry Wentzell and his wife, Laurie of Lynn. His nieces and nephews, Kristin Dennis and her husband, Chris of Peabody, Scott Wentzell of Lynn, Lauren Cole of Sherborn, Meaghan Dills and her husband, Brooks of Greer, SC, Patrick Wentzell of Lynn, Brady Ryan of Lynn and Marcus Ryan of Lynn, his great nieces and nephews, Maddy and Jake Dennis, Caitlin Wentzell, Audrey Dills, and William and Natalie Cole as well as several cousins, many friends and many beloved co-workers.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service which will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM on Monday, January 29th, 2024 at 6:30 P.M. Visiting hours prior to the service from 4 to 6:30 P.M. Burial is private.
