IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pauline G.
Dion
January 16, 1943 – February 24, 2025
SALEM - Pauline G. Dion, 82 of Salem, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24th, 2025 at Hathorne Hill in Danvers surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late, Adhemard and Gertrude (Morin) Dion. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.
A lifelong resident of Salem, Pauline grew up in a tight-knit neighborhood surrounded by family and friends. Growing up, she worked for the family businesses, Carol Ann's Donuts and Scott's Lamp Lighter Restaurant, where she developed her strong work ethic that she carried on throughout her lifetime. Pauline later began a long career at Sylvania Osram as a machinist for over 30 years until the time of their closing and then transferred to Varian until the time of her retirement.
A strong, independent, loving woman, Pauline would always recognize a familiar face and take the time to stop and reminisce. Her love for her cats was only surpassed by her love for her family. She treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She was truly happiest surrounded by her family, involved in their many activities and celebrating their many milestones. Pauline was an avid fan of her great niece's sporting events, known by everyone as "Auntie", she rarely missed a softball, basketball or soccer game. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Surviving Pauline is her sister, Carol Meehan of Salem, her nieces, Tina Pszenny-Pierga and her husband, John of Danvers, Dawn Bernard and her husband, Todd of Danvers, her nephew Scott Meehan and his wife, Barbara of Danvers, her cousin, Martha Sather of FL, and her great-nieces and nephews, Shane Walter, Kendall Meehan, Reese Pszenny, Matthew Bernard and Tara Poor and her goddaughter, Janelle Jensen of Peabody. She was predeceased by her best friend Maria Psomas.
