NEWMARKET, NH - Peter Frerk was born in West Islip, NY and spent most of his youth growing up in Wenham, MA. The second oldest of five siblings, Peter developed early loves that stayed with him throughout his life: dogs, nature, travel and being on the water.
A devoted dog lover - Peter never met one he didn't adore - his own or anyone else's. Peter had the privilege of owning several Labradors throughout his life. He had a special relationship with each one.
His happiest moments were spent outdoors, especially when there was a fishing rod in his hands. An accomplished angler, he could cast a fly like a pro. He also proudly caught many giant tuna and all sorts of other sport fish around the world. Peter was also an accomplished scuba diver and kayaker.
His passion for nature was matched by a deep curiosity about the world which led him to travel extensively. He visited several continents and had a special love for California and Hawaii and other places where he could couple his love of nature and travel.
Intelligent and curious, Peter began his career as a draftsman and progressed to a senior projects manager. He was able to travel for work, meeting many people from other cultures. Peter's humor and ability to connect with people made him friends everywhere.
Peter is survived by his siblings: John and his wife Julie, Andrew and his wife Cynthia, Linda and her husband David, and Janet. Peter has many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, all of whom he delighted in watching grow. He was invested in their lives and proud of their accomplishments. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Lorraine Frerk as well as many beloved Labrador Retrievers.
