Preston Dale Chace

BEVERLY – Mr. Preston Dale Chace, 79 of Beverly, formerly of Salem passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Care One at Essex Park in Beverly.

Born in Salem, Preston was the son of the late Preston and Margaret (Oldson) Chace. He was raised and educated in Salem, attending Salem Public Schools. Later in life, Preston continued his education, learning the trade of repairing cars and computer science.

Preston loved computers, whether he was tinkering with them or playing games with friends all over the world, he cherished the connection computers brought to everyday interactions. Above all else, Preston was a loving and kind man, always willing to go above and beyond for his devoted sister and anyone he could. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

In addition to his loving sister, Katherine Bonsang of Peabody, Preston is survived by his close cousin, Mark Rutter. He was predeceased by his parents; brother-in-law, Robert Bonsang and half siblings, Audrey, Bobby and George Chace.
