PEABODY - Mr. Quintilio Bersani of Brooksby Village, Peabody, MA, age 94, died at home peacefully in his sleep on October 26th, 2024.  He was surrounded by family members, who were grateful to hold his hand and talk to him in his final hours.

Quinn is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruth Sheehan Bersani, his brother Domenic Bersani of Leesburg, FL, and children Ann Bersani (Michael Durkin) of Newton, MA, Janet Bersani (Richard Hansen) of Westford, MA, Catherine Bersani (Bill Tuttle) of Issaquah, WA, Peter Bersani (Fiona) of Queenstown, New Zealand, Carole Bersani of Belmont, MA, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, Quintilio and Anna Bersani, and his sisters Anna Marie Bersani and Regina Libby.

Quinn was born in West Quincy, MA in 1930.  He grew up in Norridgewock, ME and graduated from Colby College in 1953.  After graduation, he enlisted in the US Army and served at Ft. Campbell in KY and Ft. Jackson in SC.  In 1954, he married his college sweetheart, Ruth Sheehan, in Winchester, MA.

Quinn and Ruth raised their five children in Melrose, MA, then moved to Marshfield, MA in 1994 to live by the ocean. He spent his career in the insurance industry at the Insurance Company of North America.  Quinn and Ruth moved to Brooksby Village in 2002 and quickly became very involved with many groups, enjoying time with neighbors, varied activities, and trips. Over the years, Quinn enjoyed square dancing, bowling, golfing, playing cards, family camping trips, travel with Ruth, volunteering at church and family gatherings to celebrate milestones. A stroll through the corridors of Brooksby was filled with greetings to everyone he met.  He was a wonderful husband, father, friend and gentleman.
