Rachel Hanna
Bibbins
September 3, 1996 – September 2, 2018
TOPSFIELD - Miss Rachel Hanna Bibbins, 21, of Topsfield passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018, at Brigham and Women's Hospital surrounded by her loving family following an 8-month fight with breast cancer. Born in Boston, she is the daughter of Rebecca Lee (Schmidt) Knowles and Richard Miles Bibbins. She was raised and educated in Topsfield. She lived her life without tradition, and her penchant for the unique and interesting was evidenced by her pursuit of knowledge. She attended Masconomet Regional High School for two years. She spent her junior year studying dance at Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan before earning her High School degree in 2015 from Marblehead High School. She attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for one semester before answering the call of the western United States. Rachel was employed as a Universal Banker with US Bank in Jackson, Wyoming and a resident of Victor, Idaho prior to moving back to Topsfield to be with her family during her treatment. Rachel enjoyed life to the fullest. Her passion for dance led her to incredible opportunities from the New York City Rockettes to Denmark's Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen. She had a voracious appetite for the arts and media and especially loved to express herself through the written word. Rachel will be remembered for her progressive spirit, a keen awareness of the world around her, her loving smile, her bright eyes, her inquisitive mind and her ability to make deep connections with others. She captured the hearts of many especially her devoted, beloved life partner Daniel. Rachel is survived by her parents, Rebecca Lee (Schmidt) Knowles and Scott D. Knowles of Topsfield and Richard Miles Bibbins and Molly Shea of Marblehead, her sister, Amanda Lee Bibbins of Arlington, Va, life partner, Daniel Jonathan Bass of Topsfield, her grandmothers and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her beloved canine companion Dwight.
