SALEM – Mr. Rafael L. Brea, Sr., 95, of Salem, loving husband of Miriam Amparo Brea, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 1st, 2024, at his home, with his loving family by his side.

Born in Bani, Dominican Republic, Rafael was the son of the late Manuelico Brea and Mercedes Pimentel. He was raised and educated in the Dominican Republic until his relocation to the United States in 1994.

Rafael was married to his beloved wife, Miriam Amparo Brea, for more than 50 years. Together, they shared a life full of love, joy, and companionship.

As a young man, Rafael devoted his career to working as a proprietor of numerous Colmados in the Dominican Republic. He had a deep love for his family and was known for his sense of adventure and his ability to share his wisdom and experiences with others. His passion for music, his family, and life made him a beloved figure to everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his wife, Miriam, Rafael is survived by his children, Rafael Brea Diaz of Salem, Manuel Brea Diaz of Salem, and Sinthia Mercedes Brea Diaz of Salem, he is also survived by his seven wonderful grandchildren.

Rafael's life was a testament to love, hard work, and dedication. He will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and profound impact on those around him.

SALEM – Rafael L. Brea, Sr., de 95 años, de Salem, amado esposo de Miriam Amparo Brea, falleció pacíficamente el domingo 1 de diciembre de 2024 en su casa, con su amada familia a su lado.

Nacido en Baní, República Dominicana, Rafael era hijo del fallecido Manuelico Brea y Mercedes Pimentel. Fue criado y educado en la República Dominicana hasta su traslado a los Estados Unidos en 1994.

Rafael estuvo casado con su amada esposa, Miriam Amparo Brea, por más de 50 años. Juntos compartieron una vida llena de amor, alegría y compañerismo.

De joven, Rafael dedicó su carrera a trabajar como propietario de numerosos Colmados en República Dominicana. Además de su esposa, Miriam, a Rafael le sobreviven sus hijos, Rafael Brea Díaz de Salem, Manuel Brea Díaz de Salem y Sinthia Mercedes Brea Díaz de Salem, y también le sobreviven sus siete maravillosos nietos.

La vida de Rafael fue un testimonio de amor, trabajo duro y dedicación. Siempre será recordado por su amabilidad, generosidad y profundo impacto en quienes lo rodean.
