SALEM – Ms. Ramona Tejada, age 69 of Salem, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at home.

Born in Tenares, Dominican Republic, Ramona was the daughter of the late Alcadio Tejada and Victoria Fernandez. She was raised and educated in the Dominican Republic and lived there for most of her life until immigrating to the United States in 2008.

An outgoing and funny woman, Ramona made friends wherever she went. She enjoyed in her many friendships from the East Point Care Center in Salem, where she would often win at Bingo and play dominos. She was an amazing cook, loved her family and lived a very happy life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving Ramona are her children, Yecenia Fernandez of Lawrence, David Paulino of the Dominican Republic, Wanda Paulino of NC and Sugel Santos and her husband, Ramon Encarnacion of Peabody; her 13 grandchildren, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM on Wednesday, May 28th from 5 to 8 P.M. with her funeral service to be held at 6 P.M. SALEM –Ramona Tejada, de 69 años y residente de Salem, falleció inesperadamente el jueves 22 de mayo de 2025 en su hogar.

Nacida en Tenares, República Dominicana, Ramona era hija de los difuntos Alcadio Tejada y Victoria Fernández. Se crio y educó en la República Dominicana, donde vivió la mayor parte de su vida hasta que emigró a Estados Unidos en 2008.

Una mujer extrovertida y divertida, Ramona hacía amigos dondequiera que iba. Disfrutaba de sus numerosas amistades en el Centro de Cuidados East Point en Salem, donde solía ganar al bingo y jugar al dominó. Era una cocinera increíble, amaba a su familia y vivió una vida muy feliz. La extrañarán profundamente todos quienes la conocieron y la amaron.

Le sobreviven sus hijos: Yecenia Fernández, de Lawrence; David Paulino, de la República Dominicana; Wanda Paulino, de Carolina del Norte; y Sugel Santos; y su esposo, Ramón Encarnación, de Peabody. Sus 13 nietos, dos hermanas y tres hermanos.
