MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA - Réal O. Roy of Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA, passed away on May 25, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on April 11, 1938, in Rumford, Maine, Réal was the son of the late Omer and Mary Louise Roy.
Réal graduated from Boston College, Class of 1960, and remained a devoted fan of his Eagles. He began his professional life in sales at IBM before becoming an entrepreneur. With his family, he lived in Weston, Beacon Hill, Jackson Hole, Manhattan, Connecticut and most recently, Manchester-by-the-Sea. Above all, Réal loved his family. He will remain forever in the hearts of his wife of 60 years, Sheila Ryan Roy; his sons, Ryan Roy of Los Angeles, CA; Christopher Roy of Lexington, MA; his daughter, Stacey Roy Lai, and her husband, Steven Lai of Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA; and his grandchildren, Galen, Read, Coulson, Edie, Riley, Madeline, Calista, and Addison.
