NAHANT- Mr. Richard A. Erikson II, 33 of Nahant, died Monday, October 31, 2011 at Salem Hospital following a long illness surrounded by his family.

Born in Nahant, he is the son of Mary Smith of Nahant and Richard Erikson of Nahant. He was raised and educated in Nahant and was a graduate of Swampscott High School.

The family wishes to give great thanks to the people who helped Richard, Lisa Dean and everyone at Elliot, his friends at the Friendship Club, Dr. R and Sue, his family at Myles Road and the wonderful staff at Salem Hospital I.C.U. Richard is survived by his mother, Mary Smith of Nahant, his father, Richard Erikson of Nahant , his brothers, Andrew Erikson of Peabody and John Erikson of Nahant and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
