SAUGUS - Mr. Richard J. Fay, 67, of Saugus, beloved life partner of Lena Rainone, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2023 at Beverly Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Somerville he was the son of the late Guertin and Bernice (Bruen) Fay. He was raised and educated in Medford and attended Medford High School.
Rick enjoyed a long career in the retail sales industry, working for several camera stores on the Northshore selling camera's. Photography was a passion of his and he enjoyed assisting customers, to find just the right camera for their needs. Rick had an artistic heart and a keen eye for detail which showed in the many photographs he took. He especially enjoyed photographing nature and the scenery around him. His respected works of art were entered and exhibited in a show and displayed in many households.
A loving companion, brother, uncle and friend, Rick was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling with friends and his beloved Lena. He was outgoing, witty and a loyal friend which endeared him to many. He was an avid reader who enjoyed history and biographies, loved music especially the 70's and was a steadfast Patriots fan. Rick will be forever remembered in the hearts of his loved ones and deeply missed by all who knew him.
Surviving Rick in addition to his beloved partner Lena with whom he shared 40 years together is his brother, Stephen Fay and his wife Janice of Andover, his nieces and nephews, Mary Beth Remillard and her husband Stephen of Weymouth, Christopher Fay and his wife Tammy of Newburyport, Daniel Fay and his wife Valerie of North Andover, and Susan (Rainone) and her husband Greg Licata of Topsfield, Dean Rainone and his wife Colleen of Lowell, and Salvy and Anthony Migliaccio of Lynn, his grandnieces and grandnephews, Devin and Nicholas Fay, Haley, Jack and Tyler Fay, Ryan and Calli Remillard, Ella and Jake Licata and Ariana Rainone.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service which will be held in O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) Danvers, on Saturday March 11, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. Visiting hours prior to the service from 8 to 10:00 A.M. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Topsfield.
