Salisbury-Mr. Richard Wesley Fowler, Sr., 73, of Salisbury, formerly of Danvers, and Gloucester, beloved husband of Joyce E. (Drouin) Fowler, died Friday October 24, 2014 at his home.

Born in Malden, he was the son of the late Edward C. and Catherine (Duggan) Fowler. Raised and educated in Malden he was a graduate of Malden High School.

Mr. Fowler, a precision tool maker, was the proprietor of Profile Grinding Services of Danvers and Newburyport for over 25 years. This entrepreneurial interest was sparked in his boyhood, as a paperboy, delivering the Malden News for several years.

A long-time resident of the Town of Danvers and a member of St. Richards Parish prior to moving from the town in 1998, Richard was a model airplane enthusiast and a member of the Cape Ann Flying Club. He was an avid sport fisherman, especially fishing for stripers along the beautiful back shore of Gloucester.

A loving husband, father and grandfather he will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Surviving Richard in addition to his wife Joyce with whom he shared 50 years of marriage is his son, Richard W. Fowler, Jr and his wife Aimee of Danvers, his daughters, Karen Ann Papetti and her husband Robert of Marietta, GA, Kristen Joyce Gill and her husband Jeremy of Toronto, Canada, his seven grandchildren, Marcus Stelvio Papetti, Stephanie Catherine Papetti, Anthony Richard Papetti, Justin Daniel Fowler, Carter Edward William Gill, Catherine Joyce Margaret Gill, and Edward Clinton Fowler, his two brothers, Edward Fowler of Sutton, NH and Thomas Fowler of Melrose, MA and several nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Daniel Fowler.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held from the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Rte 62) Danvers, Wednesday, October 29th at 8:15 AM followed by his funeral Mass in St. Richards Church, Forest St., Danvers at 9 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday, October 28th from 4 to 7 PM. Burial in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers.
