Obituary

MIDDLETON - Mr. Richard Allan Moreschi, 79, of Middleton, MA died peacefully on Saturday February 25, 2023, surrounded by family at his beloved hunting camp in Embden, ME. He was born in Worcester on December 28, 1943, the son of Caesar and Edna (DiPietro) Moreschi. Richard was raised in Saugus and graduated from Saugus High School in 1961.

After high school, Richard graduated from the North Bennett Street School in Boston (North End) where he was trained in fine woodworking and became a talented woodworker who built beautiful custom kitchens around New England.

Richard, known fondly as Richie or Dick, was a dedicated outdoorsman who loved sharing this passion with others. As a lifelong fisherman, his team won the Nantucket Billfish Tournament in 2004 and earned the honor to compete in the World IGFA Tournament in Cabo San Lucas. As an avid hunter, Richard loved his time in the woods in Embden ME with family and friends ("The Embden Gang") and judging beagle field trials. With many amazing talents, he was best at being a grandfather.

Richard leaves behind his wife Joyce (Johnson) of 55 years and his three children, Mark and his wife Gretchen of Middleton, MA, his daughter, Julie and her husband Dale Clark of Anson, ME, and his son Todd and his wife Leah of Phillips, ME. His pride and joy were his five grandchildren, Mason and Gaven Moreschi, and Melanie, Bradley, and Benjamin Clark. He also leaves cousins and many lifelong friends.

Thank you to everyone involved in his care and have supported our family in this long journey.
