Mrs. Rita L. (Michel) O'Donnell, 78, of Middleton, beloved wife of the late Richard P. O'Donnell, died peacefully Monday evening, July 30, 2012 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers.

Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Herve and Anita (Brochu) Michel. She was raised and educated in Manchester and attended Manchester schools. Mrs. O'Donnell had been employed at the Brookhouse Home for Women in Salem for many years prior to her retirement in 2004. Rita showed a true passion and love for her career and the residents of the Brookhouse.

A longtime resident of the Town of Middleton, Rita was a parishoner of the St. Agnes Church in Middleton. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be deeply missed.

Rita is survived by her five daughters, Linda Gallant of N.H. Michelle O'Donnell of Beverly, Robin Parsons of Mirror Lake, NH, Jody LaMonica of Raymond, NH, Doreen Tambur of Berlin, NH, her two sons, Shane O'Donnell of Middleton and Bruce Conway of Winthrop, , her ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a sister Jeannine Vaillancourt of Goffstown, NH and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will be held Monday September 24th, at 9:00 AM in St. Agnes Church, Middleton. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Peterson- O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St. (Rte.62), Danvers.
