PEABODY - Mr. Robert A. Tuttle, 87 of Peabody, beloved husband of Frances T. (Tetreault) Tuttle, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Florence (Very) Tuttle. Raised and educated in Middleton Robert attended Middleton Public Schools.

An honorably discharged Veteran, Robert proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Tuttle had been employed as a Hospital Aide at the Danvers State Hospital for many years and most recently had been employed as a Security Guard for the Chelsea Naval Yard.

Robert was an active member of the American Legion of Middleton where he cherished his many friendships. He was a skilled craftsman who enjoyed working with his hands creating artistries with both wood and ceramics. Roberts treasures will be fondly cherished by his family and friends. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Robert will be deeply missed.

In addition to his wife Frances with whom he shared 66 years of marriage, Robert is survived by his daughters; Carol Berry and her husband Gordon of West Forks, ME and Sue Turlo and her husband Joe of Epping, NH, his son; Robert J. Tuttle of Peabody, his five grandchildren, Jacqueline, Gordon II, Brandon, Travis and Scotty, his great granddaughter Ariel and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Richard and Charles Tuttle.
