Middleton - Robert Bruce Anderson, Jr. of Middleton, born June 30, 1947 passed away Friday, August 1, 2014, surrounded by his large, loving family at Beverly Hospital following a brief illness.

Born in Lynn, he was the devoted and beloved # 1 son of the late Robert B. and Phyllis C. (Weeden) Anderson. He was raised and educated in Middleton.

Robbie was a selfless, loving man who devoted his life to his family, and was a bright light to all of them that will shine on forever in their hearts. He was the beloved # 1 brother of Faith and her husband Leonard Stone of Middleton, Catherine and her husband William Holm of Derry, NH, Jack Anderson and his wife Dian of Middleton, Daniel Anderson and his wife Jane of Beverly, Thomas Anderson of Middleton, June Anderson of Middleton, Judith Anderson of Middleton, the late Jean Anderson of Middleton, and Lynn and her husband Walter DiNitto of Danvers. He was also the much loved, admired and referred to as "# 1 Uncle" of 19 nieces and nephews and 18 great nieces and nephews. He was their champion, always proud of them and their accomplishments. He was also a beloved member of a very large Anderson and Weeden extended family.

Robbie worked alongside his parents and siblings in the family owned and operated business, Andy's and Sons Antiques of Middleton, one of New England's most respected Auctioneers and Antique Dealers. For a brief period he also enjoyed working at OSRAM Sylvania Lighting in Danvers. He enjoyed many, many fun filled family gatherings. He was an avid tool collector, putting his skill and craftsmanship to use in the family home. He also sponsored and loved playing on local softball, hockey and football teams, and he followed the Boston teams, especially the Red "Flops," as he referred to them.

Arrangements: A family funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th, at 10 A.M. at the family grave site in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton.
