HAMILTON, MA - Robert "Bob" Curry, beloved husband, father and friend, passed away peacefully on December 22nd, 2024, at his home in Hamilton, Massachusetts. Born on the summer solstice, June 21st, 1934, in Baldwin, NY, to Herbert and Mary (Mulholland) Curry, he was the youngest of six children.

Bob met his adored wife Carol in high school.  After a first date at a harvest ball, he confessed to being "smitten." During his senior year, a guidance counselor urged him to vie for a full U.S. Navy ROTC scholarship and he landed at the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania. The first in his family to attend college, he studied business, led his fraternity and graduated with honors in 1956. He served for two years as a Navy officer aboard a warship touring Europe, and then joined GE Aviation, where his career spanned over 30 years.

Retirement offered unexpected gifts. He and Carol traveled, volunteered, and spent time with their children and grandchildren. Bob also played golf and sang in the church choir.

Known for his generosity, he was a leader in his church community and met weekly with a group of men who became like brothers to him. Bob was an avid reader, writer, a crossword puzzler, a self-taught pianist, and a passionate Brooklyn Dodgers and later Red Sox fan. He loved long walks, dancing with his wife Carol, fishing along the coast of Maine, taking ambitious lake swims and making blueberry pancakes. He treasured shared meals and conversations with family and friends around the dining room table.

He is survived by his children, Tom and his wife Kimberly, Christine and her partner Wade, Tricia and her husband John, Jennifer and husband David, and seven accomplished granddaughters – Kate, Callie, Holly, Elise, Lillian, Eliza and Ivy – who will keep Papa in their hearts forever.
