DANVERS – Mr. Robert Mahar, 59, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Boston, he was the son of Paul and Jeanne (Dooley) Ciarcia. He was the beloved husband of Traci-Reneé (White) Mahar, with whom he has celebrated 30 years of love and 25 years of marriage.
Mr. Mahar was raised and educated in Winthrop, graduating from Winthrop High School class of 1982. After starting their family, Robert and Traci-Reneé moved to Danvers in 2001. He was employed with US Airways/ American Airlines at Logan Airport for 38 years as a crew chief.
Rob was a true family man, everything he did was for his family, whom he loved more than anything. He was extremely strong, and even through his battle, his best times were spent with his wife Traci, who loved and cared for him through his battle, but also his children and his beautiful granddaughter Lyla Ivy.
In addition to his beloved wife, Traci-Reneé Mahar, Robert is survived by his daughter Alanna Mahar and her fiancé Scott Starrak, and sons; Robert Mahar, Jr. and John Mahar and his girlfriend Morgan McMahon, granddaughter; Lyla Ivy Starrak, along with his mother Jeanne Ciarcia, sister Paula Robson, and brother-in-law John H. White III, and 4 nieces and a nephew. Robert is preceded in death by his father Paul Ciarcia and his sister Glenna Carew.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held at St John the Evangelist Church, 320 Winthrop St, Winthrop, MA on Thursday, March 2nd at 11:30 a.m. Please meet directly at the church. Visiting hours will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS on Wednesday, March 1st from 3 to 8 P.M.
