DANVERS – Mr. Robert W. Mullen, a cherished member of the community, passed away on March 11th, 2024 at the age of 71, after bravely battling several health challenges. Robert was the beloved husband of Donna Marie (Osiecki) Mullen.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late William and Dorothy (Ryan) Mullen. Educated in the local Catholic schools, Robert graduated from Lynn English High School before obtaining his bachelor's degree from New England College in Henniker, NH.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Robert excelled in his career as a proprietor in the convenience variety store business. Starting as a supervisor for Richdale, Inc., he eventually went on to own and operate three retail Richdale locations in Ipswich, Gloucester, and Andover. His passion for business extended to mentoring and consulting for entrepreneurs in the retail business. He found great joy in helping others succeed.
Outside of work, Robert found solace on the golf course at Tedesco Golf Club in Swampscott and cherished quality time spent with his beloved wife Donna, and their cherished pup, Max.
Robert's battle with leukemia, prostate, and bladder cancer showcased his resilience and determination in facing life's challenges head-on. Through it all, he remained positive and determined, inspiring all who knew him with his unwavering strength and courage. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his family and community will never be forgotten.
In addition to his loving wife, Donna Marie (Osiecki) Mullen of Danvers, he is survived by his siblings; Janet Underwood and her husband Charles of Oveda, FL, and Kevin Mullen of Beverly Hills, FL, his brothers-in-law Arthur Osiecki and his wife Madeline of Jacksonville, FL, and Edward Osiecki and his wife Anne Marie of Wellesley and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Paul and Lawrence Mullen.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral services will be privately held. Assisting the family with the arrangements is O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) DANVERS.
