DANVERS – Mr. Robert F. Sim, Jr., 96 of Danvers, loving husband of the late Louise (Corsetti) Sim and former husband of Georgeanne (Davenport) Sim, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 9, 2021 at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody.

Born in Salem, Robert was the son of the late Robert F. and Estella (Sanborn) Sim. Robert attended high school at The Governor's Academy in Byfield. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country during World War II. Upon his honorable discharge from the military, Robert continued his education at Nichols College and Boston University, earning his bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

In Roberts early professional career, he gained knowledge in the business offices of CBS-Hytron and Raytheon. Through his networks and experiences, Robert started on a career with the First National Bank of Boston where he specialized in the Computer Systems Division, retiring as a Vice President after dedicated over 20 years with the company.

Robert was a simple gentleman, who enjoyed tending to his vegetables and tomato gardens. His hobbies include woodworking, philanthropy and simply enjoying a nice lunch with his family. He loved to take care of his home and truly went above and beyond to provide for his family. He will be deeply missed.

Robert is survived by his sons; Robert P. Sim and his wife Julia of New Durham, NH, Edward D. Sim of Danvers and Charles A. Sim and his wife Amy of Winterport, ME, his step-daughter; Janet Lewis of Dover, NH, his grandchildren; Kathryn Donaldson and her husband Andrew of Topsfield, Michael R. Sim and his wife Johanna of Milton, NH, Julia R. Sim of Miami, FL and Madeline J. Sim of Winterport, ME and his 2 great-granddaughters; Abigail and Sadie Donaldson both of Topsfield. He was the father of the late John S. Sim and brother of the late Shirley and Jane.

ARRANGEMENTS: Robert's funeral services were previously and privately held. Burial in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Salem.
