SALEM - Mr. Robert G. Wright 72, of Salem, beloved husband of Patricia (Bochynski) Wright, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2026 at the Jeffrey & Susan Brudnick Center in Peabody, with his loving family by his side.

Born in Peabody he was the son of the late Joseph and Pricilla (Pydynkowski) Wright. He was raised and educated in Salem and during his younger years he was an active participant in local sports. An athlete at heart, Bob played baseball in Little League and Pony League, and in the Midget Football League before showcasing his skills on the Salem High School football team, graduating with the Class of 1971.

Following graduation, Bob enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly serviced his country during the Vietnam War stationed aboard the USS John F. Kennedy a time of his life where he developed a deep sense of pride and commitment.

Upon his return from the service, Bob continued his education, earning a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in pursuit of a career in technology. He spent over 25 years at Maximus in their IT Department. Through work he travelled extensively throughout the United States visiting all but 5 states. Bob was detailed oriented, with a strong work ethic and was well respected in his field.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Bob was happiest when with his family. He was proud of his children and grandchildren and their many milestones and accomplishments. He looked forward to the family trips, especially the annual ski trips. Bob loved sports throughout his life and enjoyed cheering on all the Boston teams, especially the Red Sox. He also enjoyed a good round of golf with his buddies reveling in the companionship and comradery. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
