PEABODY – Mr. Russell K. Carraro, 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023 at Lahey Medical Center in Burlington. Born in Lynn, he was the beloved son of the late Eugene and Kathleen (McNeilly) Carraro.

Raised and educated in Chicago, Russell graduated from Fenger High School in 1967 before furthering his education at DePauw University, where he obtained his Bachelor's degree. Later he also obtained a Master's degree from BU. After graduation, Russell became employed with General Electric Company and HP as a computer network manager for over 40 years until the time of his retirement in 2013.

Russell was a quiet man with a big heart. He enjoyed his weekly card games with his friends, reading a good book, and never passed up a Hallmark movie. Yearly summer vacations to Long Lake in Maine, trips to Canobie Lake, and visiting his parents in Florida are fond memories. Most of all, he loved his family - they were the foundation of his life.

Russell is survived by his children; Katie Chisholm and her husband, Michael of Danvers, and Jason Carraro of Salem, grandchildren; Coral Estep and her husband, Matt, Tyler and Jacob Chisholm, and great-grandson Max Estep. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Carraro, and many nieces and nephews.
