TOPSFIELD – Ruth Ann (Kickham) Lucy, 93, of Topsfield, loving wife of the late George A. Lucy Jr., passed away peacefully on Sunday September 8th, 2024 at Hathorne Hill Healthcare Center.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Richard A. and Nora (Cunningham) Kickham. She was raised and educated in Roslindale, where she graduated from Roslindale High School and then attended Boston University.
Ruth was known for her friendly and sociable nature, always ready for a chat with anyone she encountered. Her resourcefulness and hard work as a real estate agent made her a trusted professional in the industry. She had been associated with Town Crier and Thompson Real Estate from 1980 to 2010. Ruth was dedicated to her community, serving as a member of the trustees of the Topsfield Library for 15 years as well as a member of the St. Rose of Lima Finance Committee.
Despite her successful career, Ruth always felt that her true calling was being a mother. She raised her family in Topsfield, and was truly her happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. Ruth's memory will forever be cherished, she will be missed greatly.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth is predeceased by her sister Doris M. Kickham.
Ruth is survived by her children, Christopher Richard Lucy and his wife Amy of Truro, Keith George Lucy and his wife Susan of Danvers, Brian David Lucy and Maura Gerrin Bragg of North Andover, Patrick Kickham Lucy of Danvers, and Andrea Pauline Lucy-Allen and Martha McCarthy of Springfield, Brother-in-law, Richard Lucy of Holladay, UT, Sister-in-law, Marianne (Lucy) Stevenson of Danvers, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ruth's funeral which will be held from O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS on Saturday, September 14th at 9:30A.M. followed by her funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church, 12 Park St., Topsfield at 10:30A.M. Burial to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Topsfield. Visiting hours are held on Friday, September 13th from 4 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth's memory may be made to the Friends of the Topsfield Town Library, One South Common Street, Topsfield, MA 01983.
