SALEM - Mrs. Sandra F. (Obremski) Doyle, 73, of Salem beloved wife of John Doyle, passed away peacefully, Thursday February 13, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Beverly she was the daughter of the late Edward and Rena (Cloutier) Obremski. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School. Sandy continued her education at the Eleanor Roberts Institute of Electrology where she received her Electrologist certificate.
A lifelong resident of the City of Salem, Sandy was devoted to her family, community and her faith. She was the matriarch, heart, soul and the bond that kept her family and friends together and was at her best when surrounded by them. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who gave of herself every day providing a warm and supportive home, hosting family events, planning trips to the beach and being involved in her children's and grandchildren's many activities.
With her ever present smile and her entrepreneurial spirit, she was the proud owner of Sandra Doyle Electrolysis, where clients became friends and were treated with kindness, respect and a lot of humor for over 33 years.
Sandy was a people person through and through, She never passed by without a smile and a wave, was always surrounded by friends and family at Juniper Beach; she was independent, fun loving and was always looking for a new adventure. Multi-talented Sandy enjoyed cooking, knitting and making stained glass. She loved to travel and did so extensively with her husband and many friends. Sandy was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Salem and on Monday's she could be found at Salem Hospital with her friend Julie Famico, volunteering in the Special Care Nursery as a Cuddler for at risk infants. Sandy's lust for life, her love and generosity were immeasurable and will be deeply missed by her loving family and many friends.
Surviving Sandy, in addition to her husband John with whom she shared 57 years of marriage, is her daughter, Kelley (Philbin) Doyle of Salem, her sons, Thomas Doyle of Salem and John Doyle and his wife Michelle of Beverly, her grandchildren, Jonathan Philbin, Thomas Philbin, Troy Doyle and Gavin Doyle, her sister, Deborah Linskey of Salem, her brother, Frank Obremski and his companion Cathy Garvey of Danvers, her sisters-in-law, Patricia Michaud of Salem, Susan Lamb and her husband William of Concord, ME and Kimberly Joyce LaTourette of Lee, NH, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Peter Obremski and aunt of the late James Obremski.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held from The O'Donnell Funeral Home, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem on Thursday, February 20th at 9 A.M. followed by her funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd., Salem at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours Wednesday, February 19th from 4 to 8 P.M.
