DANVERS- Sarah Ann Iwanicki, formerly of Lynn and a longtime resident of Danvers, Massachusetts, passed away on October 12, 2026.
Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Powers) Brownhill.
Sarah was a proud graduate of Lynn English High School, an Army Veteran, and a dedicated employee of Verizon, where she worked for 30 years before retiring.
Above all, Sarah was a woman with a heart of gold who devoted her life to helping others. She was always there for her family and friends, giving whatever she could and often putting others’ needs before her own. She gave until she had nothing left, never expecting anything in return.
Sarah shared her life with her longtime partner, Michael Iwanicki, and was a loving mother to her two daughters, Carlene Malo and Julie Iwanicki. Her greatest joy in life was her five grandchildren: Ryan Malo and Marcella Malo-Glennon, children of Carlene, and Eulila Toppi, Novella Toppi, and Caspian Toppi, children of Julie and her partner, David Toppi. She loved her grandchildren more than anything in this world.
She leaves behind her five siblings, Daniel Brownhill, James Brownhill, Eileen Coman, Donna Pari, and Joan Brownhill, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Sarah will be remembered for her generosity and unconditional love for her family. Her legacy lives on through all those she loved.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Sarah’s Funeral Mass which will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026 at 10 A.M. in St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple St. LYNN.
