DANVERS - Mrs. Sheree R. (Stubberfield) Mckeen 86, of Danvers, died Sunday, September 29, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in London, England, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Jane (Russell) Stubberfield. She was raised and educated in London. As a young girl she fled a war-torn London for the country side of England while her father battled in World War II. Following the passing of her father during the war, she was raised by her loving grandmother and fell in love with a young American GI, Jack and immigrated to the United States in 1950. After the tragic loss of her two young children, she was a single mother living down south where she then met a handsome Navy man named "Skip" and relocated to the Town of Danvers and welcomed a son and daughter into their blended family. Danvers became their true hometown and Sheree and her family became an intracule part of it. She excelled as a professional woman in the Advertising and Marketing world having founded Specialty Products Advertising company, working for over 20 years until the time of her retirement. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Sheree had a true artistic talent and shared her gifts through her paintings, needle work and her professional drawings. She was an avid gardener who loved to cook. She was out going, vivacious and beautiful. She was the Past President of the Danvers Art Association and original member of the Danvers JAYCEES and often donated many afghans and other treasures to the troops serving overseas. She was kind, generous and loving. And with all of the tragedy and heart break in her life, she always kept a sunny disposition. She was devoted to her family and will be deeply missed. Sheree is survived by her loving son, Russell Mckeen of Danvers, her grandchildren, Ashley Auen and her husband, Bobby of NH and Ryan McAskill of Beverly, her great grandson, Wyatt, her daughter-in-law, Linda McAskill Scorzoni and her husband, Vincent of Beverly, her two special cousins, Moya Pasnik of Canada and Beth Hamlin of England, several nieces, nephews, many dear friends especially her devoted friend, Kathleen Ahern and her loving canine companion and best friend Bella. She was the mother of the late Roxanna Mckeen, Brian McAskill, Richard McAskill and John McAskill.
