Sherri Lyn O'Donnell

SALEM – Sherri Lyn O’Donnell, of Salem, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 27, 2026. The daughter of the late Robert F. and Shirley (Castle) O’Donnell, she was 58 years old.

Born in Lynn, Sherri was raised and educated in Salem. For many years she was the manager at North Shore Self Storage. She was also a cherished caregiver for many, something she took great pride in. She loved taking care of others.

Even though she had no children of her own, Sherri was very involved with her many nieces and nephews. Known as the aunt of the terrace, she had many honorary nieces and nephews as well. Nothing brought Sherri more happiness than spending time with her family.

Sherri was a diehard New York Yankees fan and defended her team fiercely. She also enjoyed watching horror movies. Sherri was a proud member of the Lafayette Club. Her bubbly personality had her making friends everywhere she went. Her warmth and compassion will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, Sherri is predeceased by her longtime partner, Sandy, her siblings Robert O’Donnell, Tammy Simard, Patrick O’Donnell, Tracey O’Donnell and her partner Mark Carty and her nephews Robbie and Shawn. She is survived by her siblings, Kim Eno of Peabody, William O’Donnell and his partner Wanda of Amesbury and Jada Cross and her husband Ty of FL as well as Robert’s wife Cynthia, Tammy’s partner Ray and Patrick’s partner Wanda. She was the adored aunt of Shana, Jessica, Devin, Nolan, Melissa, Jodeen and her husband Rob, Tanya, Shari and her husband Adam, Erica and her husband Mike, Haley, TJ and his wife Kourtnie and Autumn; Great-aunt of Rylie, Eli, Kyle, Raelyn, Destanie, Harlee, Hannah, Skyla, Jada, Kayla, Jaden, Kylie, Mikayla, Cameron and Shawn and great-great-aunt of Maxine, Luka, Ty III, Macie and Tucker. She is also survived her aunt, Cathy Little and her late husband John of Beverly as well as many cousins and friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be held at O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Square, (at Salem Common) SALEM, Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 11 AM.
