TOPSFIELD- Mrs. Shirley A. (Stevens) Connelly 94, of Topsfield, beloved wife of the late Thomas Connelly, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 25th, 2022, at Masconomet Healthcare in Topsfield.

Born in Salem she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Rachael (Poole) Stevens. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.

Shirley worked as a Payroll Administrator for CPI formerly known as Varian where she was known for her outgoing personality and attention to detail. She retired after over 30 years of dedicated service to the company.

A longtime resident of the Town of Topsfield, Shirley was well known for her generosity volunteering at the Topsfield Council on Aging where she was at her best assisting staff and members alike. Her infectious personality suited her well, making friends wherever she went. She was the ultimate social butterfly who would literally talk to anyone. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to many who will be deeply missed for her zest for conversation, her generosity and love of family.

Surviving Shirley is her son Mark of FL, her daughter-in-law, Kaye Connelly of Topsfield, her grandchildren, Adam Connelly and his partner Heather Huckins of Topsfield, Jennifer Harrington of Haverhill, Melissa Mazola and her husband Will of Pelham, NH, her great-grandchildren, Alexander, Madayln, Morgan Noah and Skylar. She was also the mother of the late David Connelly.

Arrangements: A celebration of life will be held on January 6, 2023, at Supino's in Danvers at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited.
