SALEM – Mrs. Shirley M. (Woitunski) Beauvais-Riley, 86, of Salem, beloved wife of the late William F. Riley, died peacefully, Friday, December 29th, 2023 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.

Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Elizabeth (Cavanaugh) Woitunski. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School.

Mrs. Beauvais-Riley had been employed with the General Electric Company for over 20 years as an Executive Secretary until the time of her retirement. In retirement, she re-joined the work force and worked as a Medical Secretary.

A long-time resident of the city of Salem, Shirley was an active member of the Salem Council on Aging. She enjoyed all of the outings and events and especially enjoyed all of her many friends she met. She had a true passion for shopping and loved to take in the newest sales on QVC with her favorite canine companion by her side, Rocky. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Eric Beauvais and his wife, Bonny of Danvers and Daniel Beauvais of Salem, her 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Beauvais - U.S. Navy, Nicole, Joseph and Julia Beauvais and Savannah and Matthew Way, her sisters-in-law, Teasie Riley-Goggin and Beverly McSwiggin, her beloved dog Rocky and several nieces, nephews and many close friends. She was the brother of the late Robert Woitunski.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service which will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM, Saturday, January 20th, 2024 at 11 A.M.
