Obituary

IPSWICH – Susan A. Laferriere passed away on September 6, 2023 after a short illness. She was the beloved daughter of Richard and Ann Laferriere. Sue graduated from Masconomet High School; the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, and attended the Boston School of Architecture and Suffolk University in pursuit of her Master's Degree.

After graduation, Sue began her career at Shepley Bulfinch Architecture in Boston. Several years later she joined the Governor's Academy in Byfield, and more recently was employed at the Consortium for Energy Efficiency in Middleton.

Sue formed lasting relationships with her co-workers over the years, and their friendships meant the world to her. She had a sharp mind, a quick dry wit and a kind and generous heart that endeared her to all who knew her. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, sense of fashion and style, love of all things nature, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her brother, Rick, beloved nephew, Tyler; Rick's fiancée Colleen, whose friendship she treasured, and her wonderful children, Brooke and Evan, and family. Sue also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins all of whom she loved dearly, and her cherished cat, Peanut.
