IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Susan Ellen
O'Leary
January 25, 1955 – March 8, 2025
SALEM - Susan Ellen O'Leary, 70, of Salem, died March 8, 2025, at Charter Senior Living in Danvers. She was the daughter of the late Robert "Bob" and Irene (Potocki) O'Leary. A life-long resident of Salem, Susan graduated from Salem High School and earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Salem State University. She went on to work at Salem Hospital, where she was a caring nurse for over 30 years. Many Salem residents commented on how lucky they were to have Susan as a nurse.
Susan was an avid walker and was often seen walking in Salem, whether shopping, heading to work, or visiting family in North Salem. She loved the sun, and enjoyed the trips she took to Aruba, Hawaii, Italy and Ireland. She had a great sense of humor and always had friends and family laughing at her silly antics and jokes. Susan was a generous sister, daughter, aunt, and friend, and was willing to help others, in whatever way they needed.
Susan is survived by her siblings Kathy O'Leary of Danvers, Patricia and her husband Joseph McGrath of Nashua, New Hampshire, David and his wife Patricia O'Leary of North Andover, Janet O'Leary and her husband Ron Bartos of Foxboro, Maureen and her husband Bruce Murden of Danvers, and her nephew David Robert O'Leary of North Andover.
Her family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Charter Senior Living for the loving care they provided to Susan during the time she was there with them.
