Obituary

SALEM - Mrs. Teresa "Maxine" (Walker) Hopkins, 94, of Salem, beloved wife of the late Thomas P. Hopkins, passed away Friday, December 30th, 2022 after a short illness.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Arthur L. and Teresa E. (Cadegan) Walker. Mrs. Hopkins was raised and educated in Salem. Known for her caring nature, she enjoyed raising her family and spending time with her children. Continuing on her nurturing path, she became a home health aide. Maxine was a quick thinker, and enjoyed showing off her skills in cards, poker, and cribbage. Family is what Maxine took pride in the most, and making memories, which she was never short on.

Maxine loved taking her family up to their camp in New Hampshire, every year the adventure and stories grew. Anytime there was a celebration Maxine could be found, dancing and laughing. She knew how to throw a good party and bring everyone together. Maxine truly lived her life to the fullest, all 94 years of them, and her memory lives on in her family.

Maxine is survived by her beloved children; Lester Roush and his wife, Donna of Venice, FL, Maxine Hopkins of Salem, Thomas Hopkins of Salem, and Maureen Hagen and her husband, Patrick of Salem.
