DANVERS - Ms. Theresa A. Bertoldi, 85, passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 22nd, 2025 at Beverly Hospital.

Born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, Theresa was the daughter of the late Michael F. Vaiarella and Vincenza (Misuraca) Vaiarella.

Theresa graduated from Gloucester High School. She lived most of her adult life in Danvers, Massachusetts, where she raised her two sons, Bob and Craig, as a loving mother and homemaker.

In addition to raising her sons, Theresa was a devoted "dog mother" to "Ginger", "Beau", and "Smoker", the spunky dog who appeared out of nowhere one beautiful spring day looking for love, attention, and of course, free dog treats.

Theresa was a nature lover and enjoyed watching every kind of animal, bird, or fish, especially the ones in her freshwater aquarium. She cared for many abandoned or injured animals, including "Chirpy" and "Tweety", two young sparrows who fell out of their nest early, and "Lina", the baby painted turtle who became Theresa's longtime friend.

When she was not saving the animal kingdom, Theresa loved cooking. She was especially proud of her special homemade bread, which was shared with family and friends at every holiday and special occasion.

Theresa enjoyed music, going to "Oldies Dance Parties", and even tried her hand at singing on occasion. Her favorite music era was the 1950's, as evidenced by her extensive vinyl record collection. Theresa's favorite musician and entertainer of all time was the great Elvis Presley, or "Elvi" as she called him.

Generally, Theresa was a very quiet and private person, but she had the ability to surprise people with a round of unexpected wit and humor.

She will be sorely missed.

Theresa is survived by her sons and daughters in law; Robert P. Bertoldi and his wife, Nicole Bertoldi of North Andover; Craig A. Bertoldi, his wife, Donna Bertoldi, and grandson, Ryan Bertoldi, of Groveland.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to Theresa's funeral service which will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals - Celebrations, 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62) DANVERS on Thursday, November 6th, 2025 at 11 AM. Burial immediately following at Walnut Grove Cemetery, 30 Sylvan Street, Danvers. Visitation will be held in the funeral home, prior to the service from 10 AM to 11 AM.
