DANVERS - Mr. Thomas J. Dunn, CPA, 84, of Danvers, formerly of Revere, beloved husband of Muriel (Trites) Dunn died Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Beverly Hospital in Beverly. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Raised in Revere, Tom was the son of the late Gerald F Dunn and Kathleen (Donovan) Dunn. He graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Revere and served his country honorably as a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. On June 19, 1955, he married the love of his life, Muriel Trites.

He earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University and became a certified public accountant. In 1977, he was a founding partner of the consulting firm Siegel and Dunn, Inc. In addition to his consulting practice, he was an entrepreneur who owned and operated several small businesses in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He spent his career focused on the needs and opportunities of small businesses. Forever enthusiastic, he was always in search of and excited for the next great adventure. He served as Editor and frequent contributor to the Massachusetts CPA Review magazine.

A devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Tom took special interest in everyone he knew and had a way of making everyone feel unique.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Muriel (Trites) Dunn of Danvers, his brother, Reverend Gerald R. Dunn, of Dover, NH, his son Thomas J Dunn and partner Greta Ghiozzi of Danvers, his daughters, Deborah (Dunn) Eason and husband Gary of Danvers, Karen (Dunn) McGarry and husband Bill of Trumbull CT, Barbara Dunn and partner Peter Recka of Lynnfield, and Susan Dunn of Lynnfield, his grandchildren, Christopher Eason, Patrick Eason, Elizabeth (Eason) Root, Matthew McGarry, Thomas J Dunn III, Jeffrey Dunn, Michael Dunn, Mark Doherty, Briana Doherty, Joy Cheramie, Timothy Cheramie, his great-grandchildren, Marlene Eason, Brayden Eason, Avery Eason, Reese Root, Ainsley Root, Aubriella Dunn, Brooklyn Doherty, and many nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held from the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Saturday, March 11th at 10:30 A.M. followed by his funeral Mass in St. Richard Church, Forest St., Danvers at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours prior to the funeral from 9 to 10:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Tom's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN, 38105.
