Obituary

DANVERS – Mr. Thomas Carl Heaphy 80, of Danvers passed away on Sunday, February 12th, 2023 at Beverly Hospital.

Born in Beverly, he was the son of the the late Robert and Evelyn (Clewes) Heaphy.

A lifelong resident of Danvers, Mr. Heaphy graduated from Danvers - Holton High School in 1961. Known for his hard work ethic, he went on to work for the Silver Sunoco in Beverly and the Market Forge Steal Plant in Everett for many years. Tom later went on to work for the Town of Danvers Department of Public Works (DPW) for 20 years, where he retired from the Water and Sewer Department.

Following in his parents' footsteps, Thomas had a love for motorcycles and was the founder of the local motorcycle club- Road Runners. He loved all things racing, and followed NASCAR. He would often make trips around New England racetracks to follow the sport. Thomas enjoyed the outdoors just as well. Whether it be a popup tent or use of a camper, Tom loved camping and spending time at Long Lake in Bridgeton, Maine.

Tom is survived by his life partner, Carolyn Giguere of Danvers, sons; Thomas Jr. and his wife, Neusermar of Derry, NH, and retired lieutenant of the Danvers Fire Department, David Morin and his wife, Michelle of Beverly, daughter; Suzanne Heaphy-Bagnel of Beverly, his brother, Charles Heaphy and his wife, Marie of Weymouth, and granddaughter, Michaela Heaphy. He is preceded in death by his companion, Nancy Zuk Morin and son-in-law, Dana Bagnel.
