DANVERS & SYRACUSE, NY - Mrs. Vasiliki "Vicky" (Dimanidis) Iuanow, 77 of Danvers & Syracuse, NY, beloved wife of Stavros "Chris" N. Iuanow, died October 14, 2019.

Born in Prespa, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Alexandros and Sophia (Evangelithou) Dimanidis. She was a child of the "Pedomazoma" when thousands of Greek children were taken from their parents during the Greek Civil War and spent years in the former Czechoslovakia and Poland before returning to Greece.

Vasiliki emigrated to Syracuse, NY in 1964 after marrying her husband Stavros "Chris" and made their home in Onondaga Hill. They raised three loving daughters, Sophia, Elaine and Maria. She excelled in everything she did and always supported her family to achieve their dreams. She was creative and artistic and loved spending time with her grandchildren, designing clothes, baking, cooking, traveling and gardening. Vasiliki was a long-time member of St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church in Syracuse, NY and was an active member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society.

She was truly devoted to her family in every way. Whether it was assisting her husband in the success of their family business or encouraging her daughters to further their knowledge and education, she always had their wellbeing at the cornerstone of her heart. She was deeply loved and will be forever missed.

Vasiliki is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Stavros "Chris" Iuanow, her daughters, Sophia Argeros and her husband Arthur of Lynnfield, Dr. Elaine Iuanow of Danvers, and Maria Moussouttas, Esq., and her husband, Dr. Michael of Mt. Laurel, N.J., her four beloved grandchildren, Alexander Argeros, and Victoria, Constantine and Christina Moussouttas and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be privately held. A public memorial service will be announced at a later date. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple Street (Rte. 62) Danvers, MA.
