DANVERS – Vicki (Riley) Hincman, 73, of Danvers, beloved wife of Robert Hincman, passed peacefully on February 20, 2026 in Beverly. Born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Joann (Pryor) Riley.
Vicki was raised and educated in Danvers and was a proud graduate of Danvers High School, Class of 1970. She built a long and steady career as an administrative secretary, working for several local machine shops including C & C Fabricating in Ipswich and EG & G in Salem.
She and Bob shared 39 wonderful years of marriage, having fallen in love on their very first date. Their life together was filled with laughter, companionship, and deep devotion to one another.
Vicki had a joyful spirit and a generous heart. She loved to garden, especially tending to her favorite yellow flowers, and she had a special fondness for birds, cardinals always caught her eye. An animal lover through and through, she cherished her pets, who were constant sources of comfort and happiness.
She was the kind of person everyone gravitated toward: warm, welcoming, and endlessly friendly. Vicki never met a stranger; she could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, about anything, and her caring nature made her a beloved friend to many. Even while undergoing chemo, her humor and lightheartedness filled the room; she kept nurses, staff, and fellow patients laughing.
Thoughtful and giving, Vicki always made sure the neighborhood children felt special, offering small gifts on holidays and their birthdays. Her kindness, laughter, and bright spirit will be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
Vicki is survived by her husband, Bob Hincman of Danvers, her sister, Patti Riley of Waltham, and a whole host of friends and acquaintances she made throughout her life.
