SALEM – Mr. Victor Cirino Vargas, 66, of Salem, died peacefully, Saturday, June 15th, 2024 at Salem hospital with his loving family by his side.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Vicente Cirino and Maria Vargas. He was raised and educated in Puerto Rico.
An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Army. For valor he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the Army Service Medal and the Overseas Service Ribbon. He was very proud of his military service.
Mr. Cirino Vargas had been employed for many years in the Public Library system, first in San Juan, Puerto Rico and more recently in Salem, Massachusetts until the time of his retirement.
A loving father, brother, uncle and companion, Victor enjoyed spending his time in the out of doors. He was an avid fisherman and truly relished time spent at the beach and local parks. He was happiest when surrounded by his loving family. Whether at a cookout at the park or a family event, Victor always had a smile on his face when in the company of his family. A true family man, who will be deeply missed.
Victor is survived by his daughters, Euness Cirino, Sylvia Cirino, Sharleen Cirino, Nisha Cirino and Gina Roman, his longtime companion, Vanessa Ducos, his 9 grandchildren, his sister, Josefina Cirino, his brother, Vicente Cirino and many nieces and nephews and extended family.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held graveside at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orne St., Salem, Friday, June 21st at 12:30 P.M. Relatives and friends invited. SALEM – El Sr. Víctor Cirino Vargas, 66 años, de Salem, murió pacíficamente el sábado 15 de junio de 2024 en el hospital de Salem con su amada familia a su lado.
Nacido en San Juan, Puerto Rico, era hijo del fallecido Vicente Cirino y María Vargas. Fue criado y educado en Puerto Rico.
Como veterano dado de baja con honores, sirvió a su país como miembro del ejército de los Estados Unidos. Por su valor recibió la Medalla de Buena Conducta, la Medalla al Servicio Militar y la Cinta de Servicio en el Extranjero. Estaba muy orgulloso de su servicio militar.
El Sr. Cirino Vargas había trabajado durante muchos años en el sistema de bibliotecas públicas, primero en San Juan, Puerto Rico y más recientemente en Salem, Massachusetts, hasta el momento de su jubilación.
Víctor, un padre, hermano, tío y compañero amoroso, disfrutaba pasar su tiempo al aire libre. Era un ávido pescador y realmente disfrutaba el tiempo que pasaba en la playa y los parques locales. Era más feliz cuando estaba rodeado de su amada familia. Ya sea en una comida al aire libre en el parque o en un evento familiar, Víctor siempre tenía una sonrisa en su rostro cuando estaba en compañía de su familia. Un verdadero hombre de familia al que extrañaremos profundamente.
A Víctor le sobreviven sus hijas, Euness Cirino, Sylvia Cirino, Sharleen Cirino, Nisha Cirino y Gina Roman, su compañera de toda la vida, Vanessa Ducos, sus 9 nietos, su hermana, Josefina Cirino, su hermano, Vicente Cirino y muchas sobrinas y sobrinos y Familia extendida.
DISPOSITIVOS: Su funeral se llevará a cabo junto a la tumba en el cementerio Greenlawn, Orne St., Salem, el viernes 21 de junio a las 12:30 p.m. Familiares y amigos invitados.
